Our History

AshSheefa Group Trust: A Journey of Social Commitment & Educational Empowerment

AshSheefa Institute of Nursing stands tall as a proud initiative of the AshSheefa Group Trust, Falta – a name deeply rooted in social welfare, healthcare, and education for over two decades. Since its inception, the AshSheefa Group Trust has been driven by a singular mission: to uplift the underprivileged and create opportunities for a better life through education, health services, and poverty alleviation.

Registered under the Indian Trust Act (1982) with the Registrar of Assurance, Kolkata, AshSheefa Group has earned trust and recognition from government bodies, national organizations, and international agencies alike. The Trust is approved by the FCRA, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, enabling it to receive foreign aid, and also holds Income Tax Exemption benefits for donors and recipients.

 

Recognizing the acute shortage of skilled and qualified female nurses in West Bengal and beyond, AshSheefa Group established the AshSheefa Institute of Nursing (ASIN) exclusively for female students. The GNM Nursing program was introduced with a vision to nurture a new generation of compassionate, efficient, and professionally sound women leaders in nursing, serving not just in hospitals, but also as pillars of clinical excellence, healthcare administration, and academic mentorship.

From its roots in social reform to stepping into professional education, AshSheefa has always believed in the power of women to transform healthcare and society. Through our state-of-the-art campus, experienced faculty, and a 100-bedded multi-specialty hospital, we continue this legacy by building a healthier, empowered nation one nurse at a time.
